Our Walkway and Flatwork Installation Process

Whether we are pouring a short front walk or hundreds of feet of commercial sidewalk, our process is thorough and consistent. Here is how we work.

Layout and Planning

We measure the area, plan the route, and determine the width, thickness, and grade. For front walks, we consider the approach from the street and the entry point at the door. For garden paths, we work with the existing landscape. We mark everything out and review the plan with you before starting.

Excavation and Base Work

We excavate the path to the proper depth, remove grass, roots, and debris, and install a compacted gravel base. The base is graded so water drains to the sides and does not pool on the surface. We set forms along the edges to define the shape and ensure straight, clean lines.

Pouring and Finishing

We pour the concrete, level it, and apply the chosen finish. Control joints are cut at regular intervals to prevent random cracking. If you have selected stamping or coloring, those are applied during finishing. After the surface is complete, we apply curing compound and allow proper curing time.

From start to finish, our crew handles every detail. We clean up the job site, remove forms after curing, and make sure the finished product meets your expectations. If you need steps or stairs to connect your walkways to different elevations, we build those too.
